PSHE
Our PSHE Curriculum sets out to help students stay safe and healthy and provides students with the knowledge and skills required for life and work in modern Britain.
In line with our school commitment, our PSHE curriculum aims to help students to become actively anti-racist. Our PSHE programme enables students to tackle stereotypes, bias and discrimination.
It also empowers young women by developing self- confidence, assertiveness, resilience and aspirational thinking.

Reading Strategy
Reading is at the heart of all we do at Stepney All Saints. It is the fundamental skill on which success across subject disciplines is built. We understand that a love of reading will stay forever once fostered and therefore we actively seek to foster this throughout the student experience with us.
At Stepney All Saints (SASS), our priorities for reading are:
- reading for pleasure (minimum 20 mins a day)
- high quality literacy intervention
When learning with us, students strive to break through their literacy misconceptions and become confident, resilient, enthusiastic readers.

The House System
The House system encourages collegiality and healthy inter-house competition, with the aim of raising achievement of all the students.
We encourage students to play an active role in the success of their House, which allows them to develop skills and talents.
Students are expected to contribute to Inter-house competitions throughout the year. Individual and team efforts are rewarded.
We hold a number of inter-house sporting and subject department competitions. Points are also awarded for participation at enrichment activities, music lessons and SASS rewards.
Each of these contributes points towards the final totals which decide the overall winning House. Staff may also reward student achievement such as: sustained effort, exemplary work, high attainment or excellent class participation.
Points are also awarded for participation at charity events and helping at school events. The culmination is reached at Sports Day, where more points are won in each event, the overall House point total calculated and the winning House announced.

Female Empowerment & Allyship
While academic accomplishment is vital, schools have a role to nurture students so they can become well-rounded and compassionate individuals, the best version of themselves. At Stepney All Saints a school environment that allows girls to be themselves is key, increasing access to opportunities and empowering our female students with life skills, alongside education.
A Church School
We at Stepney All Saints celebrate our diverse community, embodying the wisdom of Luke 6:31 by ‘doing unto others as you would have them do unto you’. Our school empowers students to flourish academically and spiritually, enabling them to experience life in all its richness and to effect positive change wherever their journey takes them. The school’s Church of England ethos underpins this family-like community, as we ‘Learn together, pray together and achieve together’.
Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
Our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) curriculum supports our students in preparing for the opportunities, responsibilities and experience of life beyond school. It is important that all students are fully supported and guided through the process of planning their futures. With a full time careers manager, professional careers advisers and a programme of education, information, advice and guidance for all students from Years 7 -13 we believe Stepney All Saints students are well prepared for their futures. We have a whole school approach to careers with teachers playing an active role.
We understand the importance of building the highest aspirations in our students. We work hard to provide them with all of the necessary information needed to make well informed decisions about their future and to break stereotypes and barriers. Students are exposed to many opportunities to help them develop key skills over the course of their time at Stepney All Saints.
We have a full programme of careers education which will help students to develop the knowledge and skills to understand themselves, research the opportunities available, make decisions and move successfully on to the next stage. We are proud of our links with employers who work closely with students through work placements, visits, talks, interview preparation, careers fairs, and work related learning events.
